December Minutes

Old Business Report:
Kim Rose, the Traffic and Safety Study was approved by the Police Commission and Kim is awaiting a copy of the study.  We will also be following up on the signage change on Milford Point Road by West Shore Middle School.

An open discussion followed:
Kelly Hanson will follow up with Bill and Cheryl regarding flyer distribution.  We will ask Jann Denault for a report on Publicity.  Sheila Dean suggested that we target the businesses along the Naugatuck Ave. corridor she will prepare and distribute a letter to invite them all to the Feb. meeting so that we can rally all along the corridor for a spring clean up.  We want to improve this area for business as well as property values.  It will also establish credibility to our association and move us into a positive mode.  A discussion followed regarding problems with Alpha Pizza/ safety issues at the construction site, it was decided that that is a WBA issue and that we would continue to concentrate on the corridor.

Kim reported that the neighbors who are suing the City and D'Amato are continuing to request donations towards their lawsuit and they have received checks from as far away as North St.

It was decided that the January meeting would be cancelled in order for us to get the letters out to all businesses, distribute flyers and get some publicity in the papers for the Feb. meeting.  There was a suggestion of coffee and for the Feb. meeting.

Sheila Dean made a motion to end the meeting at 8:15, seconded by Larry Kozak.

Respectfully submitted by President Kim Rose acting in the absence of the Secretaries, Nancy Gasper and Christine Dean
