West Shore Neighborhood Association

HISTORY
Our Neighborhood Association was formed out of necessity so that the Resident’s of the 3rd District of Milford can monitor issues that affect their district.

In 2002, our area was re-zoned as a Corridor Design District which allows developers to come in and apply for projects under “Special Permits”.  “Special Permits” is another name for building under State Statute 8-30g which includes “Affordable Housing” as part of their projects.  Applying under this, developers can circumvent all local zoning regulations and build whatever they like. For example, they can build a sky scraper in a neighborhood of residential homes.
